Transfer Admission Requirements

You may apply as a Transfer student if you have completed college units after graduation from high school.

1. Lower Division Transfer Admission

You will be required to submit your official high school transcripts with evidence that you have graduated along with transcripts of ALL schools that you have attended.

Lower-division applicants may not apply to Nursing or Pre-Nursing.

2. Upper Division Transfer

An Upper-Division Transfer is classified as an applicant who has earned a minimum of 60 semester / 90 quarter transferable units.

3. Conditional Admission for Undergraduates

Cal State East Bay offers conditional admission for undergraduate programs to students who are academically qualified but have not met the English proficiency requirement at the time of application. These students are issued a conditional admission letter to Cal State East Bay and are required to attend the Global Academy Intensive English Program until they meet the language requirement (IELTS or TOEFL). We accept the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT version or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic version of the exams.TOEFL Essentials, IELTS General Training, PTE, or Duolingo English tests are not accepted.
